Gave them oxbow pellets after the not having pellets for a while, but they wont eat the oxbow pellets at all, I've tried feeding them it by hand and they don't want it at all, what to do? They DO eat, so they are not sick, but they don't want the pellets at all.

Maybe they just don't want that one my boys love burgess excel with blackcurrent. After all there are foods we humans don't like. Piggies are no different x

My boys didn't like Oxbow pellets either. Or 2 other brands I tried. I find piggies can be rather fussy eaters!

Hi, "Fusion200" how old are your piggies? Maybe they are just too young? Did they eat pellets before but now they don't? Is the Oxbow a new type of pellet than what they had previously? Oxbow sells pretty good hay, try to give them that, crumple the hay before you feed it to them to get rid of sharp pokes than can injure their eyes. What I would do is just present about 1/8 of a cup of pellets to them, don't give them a lot right away because piggies might poop on the bowl and you would want to keep the pellets as fresh as possible, just present the pellets to them and watch them for a few days. Come back to post us on what happens
Thanks,
Alexis

I tried my piggies on loads of different pellets, eventually bought a bag that had the taste of dandelions and let them choose. End of the day, they'll eat it if that want it and i mix muesli in it too. Works a treat considering I get empty bowls which is a plus
Mine are currently on Science Selective

Piggies are fussy do not worry. As long as they get a good range of veg which contains all the required vitamins (make sure you include a vit c high piece daily such as pepper or brocolli) and they get unlimited hay (which should be 80% min of their diet) thats fine. They should get around 1 cup of veggies each a day! X

None of my fosters (both rabbits and guinea pigs) will touch the Oxbow pellets at first, but trust me, they will learn to love them!

Just keep offering them every day. Discard what they don't eat and replace with fresh pellets. Mix them in with the brand of pellets that you used to feed, and then gradually reduce the amount of old pellets and increase the Oxbow pellets over the span of 1-2 weeks.

Mine are on a mix of Oxbow and Science Selective. Sometimes, they eat more Oxbow than Science Selective and sometimes, it's the other way around.

My Piggies are very fussy about pellets too. I tried Burgess Excel nuggets and Science Selective, neither of which they would touch. I have now found a good quality muesli and they have empty bowls everytime with that :)
