I'm trying to gain 10 pounds because my size 2 jeans are too big and my face is thin. I just don't look my best. Any tips? Unfortunately in the past week I've lost 3 pounds and am down to 121. I have a hard time putting on weight and I eat pretty healthy, and lately I've been lazy, so I've had soup for lunch.

Going to the opera Feb 1! Seeing Eurydice. It's in English, which will be kinda weird.

Thesis due Dec 8.

I can’t give you tips on gaining weight on purpose I’m afraid - well except to be 43 years old and perimenopausal, I can only dream of losing 10lbs!
 
I said goodbye to my 24" waist over 30 years ago when I had Son No 1. Although I did all the postpartum exercises to get my figure back, sadly it never did. Now its a struggle to lose weight. So I can't help either - sorry!
 
Unfortunately I gain it all in my stomach when I'm at my ideal weight. But I'm hoping to gain some in my face. I can wear loose shirts.
 
I'm 54, post menopause and have (amongst other things) Hashimotos thyroid disease so I've massively chucked up and can't lose it, sorry.
 
I'd genuinely have a chat with your doctor- they'll be able to fully assess what's going on and address any concerns you may have. There could be all sorts of things in the background- stress, hormones, underlying health issues etc.
Weight never seems to go where you want it to (especially for women!). :)
Soup's one of my favourite meals too, because it's so easy to make and eat. Try and have it with other food groups such as protein and carbohydrates too- if you don't use it already, the Eatwell Plate is a good guide.

Thanks! I had split wheat bread with peanut butter and chocolate mousse for lunch.

For one class I'm writing a paper about language and identity. First I'm answering what is identity? Are we the same person as when we were a child? What about an embryo? If we had a brain transplant, would we go to the new body or stay in the old? Are we multiple selves?

Then I'm going to talk about language learning and identity as linguists believe you have two identities, one in your native language and one in the new language.

Then I'm going to conclude with the question is teaching English imperialism?

The thesis is a 40 page book of poetry.
