Metacam dosage for IC piggy

Fingers crossed for him. I go up to 0.4 twice a day loxicom during flareups as it's anti inflammatory, so I hope it's curative as well as taking away pain. Your poorly boy is so gorgeous and floofy

Yeah think I’ll up it in the next few days if squeaking continues and hopefully his injection on Thursday helps. Ah thank you I know I’m biased but I do think he’s a handsome boy 🥰

Holly is the same. All fine for ages then a sudden flare. It’s just become part of the rhythm of life for us.

Pewter is also the same. We just had a few weeks of no squeaks at all and then I decided to try her on the tiniest bit of celery which has caused an instant flare. Fingers crossed your little man is feeling better soon! x

Thanks everyone, sorry @VickiA I rushed when writing and completely forgot you have Holly with IC too otherwise I would have tagged you! Thanks everyone glad it’s nothing I’m doing wrong and the drinking doesn’t seem to be a major concern. Hopefully it settles again and the time between them lengthens xx

Don’t worry - not offended at all and I’m not around as much at the moment as I have been. IC is just a bit of a roller coaster at times but we now go much longer between flare ups. Hang in there.

That’s good to know that it gets a bit easier, thanks @VickiA ☺️. I gave him 0.4ml of metacam this morning as he can’t have another dose til Friday eve due to his injection so hopefully he gets on ok. Thanks again everyone :luv:

Hi all,

Thought I’d keep you all updated on my poor little man. Recently he’s dropped more weight after a really good spell. I took him to the vets yesterday for a conscious ultrasound as a precaution and they have found a bladder stone :( he’s going in for his op to have it removed tomorrow which I’m really pleased it’s on a Friday for helping him recover over the weekend and luckily my partner works from home so can continue syringe feeds through the day on Monday if needed. Gutted as he’s only 2 and he’s already on a fairly good diet for his bladder due to his IC.

Any advice from anyone who has had a piggy go through a bladder stone surgery/diet tips or well wishes for my gorgeous boy would be really appreciated x

I’m so sorry to hear poor Diago has a bladder stone, poor little man and poor you, it’s so stressful when they are poorly
Wishing him the very best for his operation tomorrow x
