I ordered some of the 'make your own toys' stuff from Pampered Piggies, and have spent a happy evening threading things onto strings for the piggies - it works out much cheaper than buying pre-made toys from Pets at Home, and the piggies love them! Here are some I've made;

They come in packs like this:

In different shapes and sizes - wooden shapes, loofah, willow....

And then you just thread them on;

You can see all the different bits for sale here:

It's made my lot very happy - and very good value for money!

i have seen these on the website and wondered what they were like, will go shopping on pay day!

wow nice!
i don't think my piggies would be too interested if i made them stuff lol

i didnt think my piggie would like toys but i put a rafater (i think thats kinda what it is) ball in his hutch and he pushes it around (then chews on it) then pushs it a bit more, so maybes he would like toys x

they look good mind you - my piggies wouldn't touch them either - they have different chewing toys, but the only thing they will chew on is their willow sticks.

i was wondering if you could use ordinary rope/string to make toys? I have a few things that have holes through so was thinking I could just buy a regular ball of rope & make something! does anyone know if this is ok?

The rope that you buy is called Sissal (maybe with less s's!), I guess you'd have to make sure the string didn't have any colourings or chemicals in.
