We have the same problem! Our piggies live in a hutch apart from winter months, and until we brought them indoors, the cat was always giving the pigs threatening looks. The hutch is pretty secure though, so we aren't too worried. It all started when we made chicken broth and the cat became attracted to our house! Since then, it has been making trips to the garden to check on them. It has now stopped because the hutch is empty and the pigs are safe indoors. For some reason, although there are multiple felines on our street, it is always the same black cat that is interested. I have heard that having your own cat repels others (this of course only works if the cat is friends with the guineas) and also that if you leave strong-smelling things out such as used coffee, citrus, vinegar etc, it deters cats. Be sure to get rid of any poo that the cat leaves behind, as it can become a magnet to others.
