Looking for a pair of babies, West Norfolk

Please could someone suggest where to find a local breeder? West Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border. Thank you

Hi and welcome

Please be aware that we are a rescue friendly, strictly no intentional breeding forum, as per our explicit rules, which you have read and ticked during your registration process. There are no breeder recommendations on this forum.
Here they are again: Terms of Service And Forum Rules

We do have a list of recommended rescues on our top bar.

Good luck in your search. I hope a rescue near you can help. 🤞🏻

Yes, do consider a bonded pair from a rescue, breeders have a very mixed reputation, with wrongly sexed guinea pigs, pregnancies, illness and lice to name but a few. Many people have had their fingers burnt going down that route

Thanks all. I've have been actively stalking local rescues but haven't had any luck finding young guinea pigs , not necessarily babies but not elderly. (The reason being, my son has lost his beloved cat recently and id like to avoid snother pet bereavement for a while if at all possible) I thought a reputable breeder would be the next best step.

Or, any specific Guinea pig rescues I could contact?

Fully understand. I live in Cornwall so not familiar with rescues around your area. Internet search your area and read the reviews, do bear in mind that guinea pigs can live to 7-8 years so they can live for quite some time. good luck 🤞

I think the closest to you is Wood Green outside Godmanchester.

I found some! After researching like mad I eventually found a small very local rescue sbd picked up 3 bonded girls earlier this week. Already obsessed!

Great!

We run a courtesy sexing service in our dedicated Sexing Corner for any new arrivals if you wish to make use of it. Sadly, mis-sexing and ignorance re. when sows and boars start making babies (basically as soon as they are at weaning age) is still rife...

Hi - could you possibly let me have the details of where you found your Guinea pigs? I live in Swaffham and am trying to find a new companion(s) for my elderly female GP and am struggling to find places (either closed down or very specific about requirements).
