hi i was wondering if anyone new of a good guinea vets in staffordshire/stoke on Trent/Cheshire as ive had a few incidents with the last 2 vets ive been to that i have now lost all confidence in them when it comes to guinea pig health and i defo feel that they just don't know what they are doing when it comes to guinea health i feel all they are good for is prescriptions rolleyes i feel so angry as these people (vets) are meant to be very knowledgeable when it comes to guineas when clearly they know nothing grrrr and have on many occasions put my guineas at risk ..what is also very upsetting is that people trust vets and believe every word that they say when in fact they can make the problems worse in my case one of my rescue guineas could have starved to death for what they did to his teeth and if it wasn't for (ap) he wouldn't be here today:(

I have to agree with you on this one, unless they are an exotics vet they seem to be at a loss. I found this out recently with one of my little babies. I have been told there is a vet a cheshire pets at Holmes Chapel http://www.cheshirepet.co.uk/ her name is Molly Varga. I have never been to her but have been told that she is very good with guineas. If you look at the website link and click on the team icon at the top it gives you a picture of her and a write up of her qualifications. Apparently she is well qualified in exotics.

I don't know molly varga myself but I know that she worked at an exotic referral centre in manchester for some time, might be worth trying her out although it's a bit to travel to Sandbach etc.
There was a vet who worked for Friarswood/County vets who had an interest in guineas not sure if still there but I can find out for you.:)

Could you mean by any chance Hannah bould, if so I believe she is now at vets4pets at Cannock. I used to go to her until she left, quite a drive now to see her. Friarswood seem to be unwilling to tell anyone where she has gone, just claim they don't know.
