Long term metacam use

I currently have a piggy on 1ml of dog metacam twice a day (along with cystease and she's had 3 cartrophen? injections 6 days apart) were hoping we can wean the metacam down but if we can't I'd sooner risk a shorter lifespan than leave her in pain. Quality over quantity is what we have gone for though I hope we can manage both

I have heard of cartrophen injections but haven't discussed it with my vet at this moment, are they working for you? Definitely would rather him be comfortable over anything else! You can manage

You can also try vegetarian glucosamine as an alternative. Vegetarian Glucosamine. They need 250mg per day & the capsules are 750mg. You’ll need a small bottle to store the following mixture in. Open one capsule & mix with 1.5 ml of water then give 0.5 ml per day so you’ll have enough for 3 days with each capsule.

She's only had 3 and neither me or the vet want to jinx it but after the 2nd I saw improvement
