Imli has made a full recovery!
We were lucky…no flushing and no antibiotics were needed. Once the abscess burst it just disappeared! I think the difference in my case is that it actually burst. It had developed to the size of a plum…and we were going to lance it the next day and then the next time we looked it had gone. But….and this is a big but….there was a lanced hole already in place so all that pus could escape outwards and not inwards. As I say... we were lucky, I guess it still could have gone inwards even with a hole in place. Still no antibiotics or flushing used. I do worry that flushing may delay the healing process if over done….
