Wow looks fab - the ramp and correx looks very neat! What have you used for the black border around the top - something to cover up the sharp edges? :)

Oh wow it looks lovely! And only £39! Bet you and the piggies will love it! :)
I got grids for £12, cortex £ 16 mat for ramp £1. I already had the wood for ramp. I'm very happy
Now I going to start look for ideas to make a wooden stand and cage liner.

It makes you realise how much better you can make their environment and for cheaper! That sounds great! :)

That's ace! My piggies will be having a C&C cage this winter when they come in, going to start hunting soon for all the bits to start building it! :)

Love it. And thanks for tip on paper binders my naughty piggies are eating the corex on side of their ramp. And also the entrance to top level.

The binder finish it off nicely and give a nice smooth edge

I've found that the binder strips are essential if you want to stop the correx from being eaten away.

Wow very nice! How did you cut the coro stuff so well. Mine is terrible lol. Where did you measure to get it to fit so nicely? I'm going to buy new coro and redo it, also what did you use to score it?

A decent craft knife/ stanley knife should do the job with ease, make sure you put it on a firm surface and use a long ruler. ;)

I used a Stanley knife to cut and a saw as a straight edge. I also cut the black connectors as correx would sit up against the sides. I can try a take a photo tomorrow, if you would like?

That would be GREAT Max! :) thanks so much!

I think I'm going to make it a 3x5 or a 2x6 and add a second loft again since I got those other grids at the flea market! How did you cut the connectors back? You must be very handy lol.

Sorry for the thread derail.

Wow, looks a great set up.... I am going to be cheeky here.... :) You wouldn't like to write a how to make a c&c guide would you? Be a handy resource for the forum and piggy slaves to have access to and we currently have nothing like it I beleive

That would be a honour. I will write it up and send it to you first.so you could read though it to make sure it makes sense. If that's OK ?

Ace :) that would be great - thank you so much.

Depending on how quickly you write it, I might be able to volunteer to be the tester in real life? My grids are due to arrive on Weds but we go on hols on Thursday so I don't think I will set it up before we go as I would have to leave the pig sitter with a brand new set up to clean out that I've never had to clean out myself and that would worry me.

Another question. I was intending scoring and cutting my correx with a ceramic cutter (sold by Lakeland and my most used household gadget - has never failed me to date). Anyone else tried to cut correx with this rather than a Stanley knife? Any views on whether it will work? I don't own a Stanley knife but will get one if I need to.

This would be great for a newbie to c&c :)
I don't have a clue where to start building an indoor set up, I hope to move somewhere that will enable me to have my boys living inside the house during the cold winter months so any c&c tips and info would be a great to have
Kell.
@maxdawn is so helpful....p.s I got my large carpet tile today to fix my ramp issue thanks to you :)

I would be worried about cutting straight though the correx. What kind of cera cutter is it, their are different kinds?

This thing (the islice). http://www.lakeland.co.uk/21760/iSlice Don't be fooled by its size. I use it to cut through very thick cardboard boxes (much thicker than amazon boxes for example) - although I do have to score a couple of times to get right through.
