After the sad loss of Chip, Bumble lived with baby Leo for a short while. Sadly this didn't work out as Leo wasn't a good match when his hormones kicked in and poor Bumble started to decline. We went back to the rescue where Bumble met a gorgeous ginger piggie. They've been together since 6th November. Introducing Garfield. He's very shy and it's taking time for him to be comfortable in his new surroundings. He's 2 years old (estimated) so we are hopeful for no hormone spikes.

Thanks. I really hope so. It's been heartbreaking when it never worked with Leo. Bumble was pestered constantly by Leo at the end up, he spent most of his time hiding under the hay and got a urine infection. He was also dropping weight. It was so sad.

The boys are enjoying each others company. Garfields confidence is growing each day both with Bumble and myself. However any sudden movements and he runs.

I wish I had taken my phone up to the piggies room tonight. The boys had a popcorning frenzy. It was hilarious. Garfield went then Bumble then Garfield again then Bumble. They kept it up for ages! But typically I didn't have my phone to record.

The boys are still doing well together. But they have a strange habit of rumbling at each other then lightly chattering at each other. Then they both run and jump in the hay pile together to eat hay. Strange strange Boars. There's then usually lots of popcorning.

Garfield is finally coming out his shell. He is walking up the cage to investigate what I'm up to when I'm tidying up the hay tray at night. Then he runs away down the opposite end of the cage to continue munching his nuggets with Bumble (Bumble is a hog and doesn't move from the dish ). Either that or Garfield is investigating if I'm stealing his hay. He must be happy whatever the case because lots of popcorning usually follows.

Bumble was running laps (zoomies) tonight and popcorning. He never usually does that. Then he went up to Garfield and Garfield rumbled then Bumble ran off and Garfield ran after him and the 2 of them were popcorning and running laps. Lol
They've been together for 4 weeks yesterday.

Thanks. It's such a relief. Bumble is a sensitive soul really. And Garfield came from a trio of boars kept in a triple layer 100cm cage , he was full of bites and very thin when he was surrendered to the rescue centre.
