I was just doing dinner and I looked out the window to see a fox running along the back hedge with what looked like a squirrel in it mouth. Round here foxes are often seen during daylight hours. I live close to the city centre too. Please make sure all your furry little animals are safe when outdoors.

crikey little aren't they? poor squirrel still foxy has to eat I guess , some of them are quite bold I lvie right near forests and the downs so they are around a lot my pigs are safe with wire panels over the doors and windows if open I dont take any chances

poor squirrel,we have a regular squirrely person sits on our fence in the morning watching our kitchen window
as for foxes theyve never been in our back garden, hopefully because they can smell the dog

Luckily I live in a built up area so there isn't hundreds of the little . We also have a brick wall which I believe is to high for them to jump (just over 6 and a half foot). :)

I barely see squirrels these last few years even less as more and more foxes year in year out. When we moved here ten years ago not a week would go by without seeing a squirrel Alicia and I used to name them ;D a fat one was Cyril a tiny one Simba and Cindy.
I was going to put the piggies in the run while I clean them out later just made me feel a little uneasy I suppose. I should be used to them I think they are lovely creatures but hate the fact there are so many around here.

I totally love squirrels,i walked thru the Martins Pond reserve yest and there were loads in the trees,Its a fantastic place to walk thru when its quiet and so pretty with hundreds of bluebells right now etc

I bet I would be so worried if more foxes lived in the area. The are beautiful creatures but that doesn't stop the fact the will kill without a second thought. A fat one was Cyril a tiny one Simba and Cindy. ;D

Our hedge is well over 12ft last year in the January I saw them leaping over it. It was mating time and boy they can jump I have seen them sunbathing on top of shed roofs. I Live in a very built up area close to the city centre here in Nottingham. There are fox dens in many back gardens window cleaner told me of a few close by :) I used to live in a small village and went down the farm everyday when my cousin had her horse and never once saw one. My gran once had a den under her shed and they abandoned cubs now they were cute.

i very often see a fox early in the morning on my way to work and stand and talk to it,god knows why 98) 98) 98)

I know I would see one they know I hate them think they smell my fear ;D and leap out at me. I am shuddering at the thought of frogs you would hear me screaming trust me.

I used to have frogs from tadpole stage when I was younger and kept them in a tank/aquarium
its amazing to see the tiny ones

a lot of people get them mixed up with toads as sometimes they can have a similar skin in the dark and a few come from Martins pond into our area because its not far,and then hang around next doors pond, they do kinda scare me when I'm going out to the puggy shed in the dark and suddenly move, until I realise what it is then its ok

Hunny my fear stems from childhood. I had a very nice cousin and when I was four he found a frog and brought it to show me he shuffed it in my face, I screamed and after that whenever we went to his house he would go looking for frogs because he wanted to scare me :'( evil my cousin was and he was the same age as me. I think he thought I liked slugs, snails and yukky stuff it was the first frog I ever saw will never forget it. He still asks me now when ever I see him and I just laugh most people have a fear of bees or spiders they do not bother me.

its scary when they start getting that brave :o Lock up your pigs the fox is in town :o

;D Your cousin is horrible. I pretty sure there are quite a few people who are scared of frogs and/or toads and I dare say they didn't have one forced in their face when they were younger. :)

When i was little the boys used to go into the 'nature area' at our school and keep frogs in their lunchboxes?

I have a fear of flies...dont know why...just the idea of them eating and sicking or whatever it is they do xx0 and then trying to land on me....I sccrreeam if one comes near me ::) ;D

as big and ugly as our dog is,hes got a fear of flies ;D ;D
he'll run a mile if theres one about

all mouth and no guts ::)

Our neighbour told me the other day he saw a fox in his garden at 1.30 in the afternoon. It is such a worry. I put the piggies back in their hutch if I'm not around to keep an eye, they dig fast I understand . . .

Put it this way, if a fox sees a guinea pig or some guinea pigs without someone watching them, the guineas won't be there much longer. :(

The neighbour told me theres a fox around and they found a dead white rabbit on their lawn on thurs :'(

thank god it wasnt Sophie but I'm gonna have to keep my piggies well secure now

That they do and they are crafty sly and very blatant. Last year before we got our currant piggies I gave the hutch a good sweep out went inside to fill a bucket and a fox came out from under the hedge and slunk up to the hutch. When it saw me it shot behind the bike/toy shed, then was peeking out at me.

I found a rabbit few years back in my garden I found the owner same day but she told me a fox got her last one. She moved and I used to ask her how the rabbit was I was so upset when she told me a fox got the rabbit. The lady now has another rabbit but is kept in a shed.
