Clair, me too. I find spot cleaning difficult cos they dont poo in one spot they poo EVERYWHERE

There's got to be an easier way! I'm using a puppy liner topped with a sheet of newspaper then wood shavings. Hay goes in rack and tissue box also bedroom area. But when I spot clean I feel like I'm taking out half the shavings!

I want them to have clean bedding but need a simpler way. Not into the fleece idea. Have enough washing with the kids!

... Just to let you know there are plenty of owners on here who house their piggies outside all year around. Me being one of them. My OH built a shed it's insulated and soon to be expanded. My piggies have now megazorb and hay as bedding.
In winter we get a cosy for them to sleep in. And I have seen some shed creations which actually have a hutch inside so the piggies can have reign. Loads of ideas. Some people can have piggies in there house others unfortunately cannot...
Have a look at housing section for ideas for outdoor creations just so you can get some ideas.

I have enough washing with the kids too lol! I remove loads of shavings when i spot clean too and then add more in. Then an hour later theres poo everywhere again hahahaha!

Maybe this is how it will be?! Had mine a week now and already used quarter bag of shavings. How are your piggies settling in? Kids love them....my 7yr old had a lovely snuggle today!

Making progress but still real skittish. Dont think theyd ever been handled. Atm they will hand feed, sniff my hands, climb into my lap IF there is food in it but only occasionally let me stroke them without making a run for it. How lovely for your 7 year old :) i long for a proper cuddle with my boys!

I am lucky. I orderd a trixie corner rabbit litter box. Line it with newspaper and meadow hay. Hay rack above with timothy and they only poop there and the majority of their wee is there too. I have the odd one but its great when I clean out now. I use fleece and it gets washed on a mon and sat. But I have no kids so prob why it isn't alot!

When I first got my piggies last July I had them outdoors, as soon as the temperature dropped in they came. Been in my bedroom with me since. I would not put them outside again only for a run when it gets warmer. On a sad note if they had been outside I would not have noticed the breathing difficulties of one of my piggies straight away, although he didn't make it he didn't suffer for long, if he was outside I wouldn't have been as vigilant Food for thought. Love your piggies
