Is anyone watching the Eurovision semi final?

Jenny and I watched it. She seems indifferent to most of it 😂 I'm going to miss the final though, got theatre tickets. Half gutted!
 
As a metal fan, I didnt dislike the German entry. I've had the Norway one on my running playlist for ages without realising it was a Eurovision entry 🤣 other than that, I didnt think much to any of the other songs!
 
All the songs are on youtube and on bbc iplayer. Never been interested before myself but its happening just down the road from us! Blod and Hilda like Norway's song. Frida likes the Czech one. Gladys prefers Portugal. Hatty found Croatia quite compelling :)
 
I'll probably only watch it on the Finals. I can't see UK song will win or even get much points. It's not really good unlike the one last year. 🤷‍♀️
 
I got hooked again last year so am super excited for this year ! I loved Sam Ryder last year
I forgot about the semi final last night doh 🙄

Does Australia count? I thought 'Zero Gravity' would deffo win the other year - it's got to be one of my desert island discs! Look at the finals performance on YouTube for the ladies on top of the poles. That's with a small P @BossHogg before you get too excited
Sad the young Greek lad didn't get through tonight. A few goodies this evening but Tuesday was proper banging.
 
I didn't watch the semi finals, but I can't believe that Austria really made it to the finals yesterday.
Now I have to battle with myself if an evening of Eurovision is about fun or torture. :woot:
But when Conchita won, I missed it. So maybe I should give the girls the same chance this year.
Austria never gets any points whenever I watch. :yikes:

Really liked Austria's song, quite random but very catchy- and apparently the crowds did too- people all over Liverpool were shouting the chorus all night, Poe Poe Poe Poe Poe!
But can it beat Finland's cha cha cha drinking song, Norway's catchy valkyrie style feminism chorus, Croatia's quite mad anti-Putin ironic camped up military fetish mockery?
I'm quite excited with it being so local this year, and in support of Ukraine :)

The 2 countries I found were Iceland and Malta,
 
My friend was saying the same today - whoever she picks gets 'Nil Points'. I said that's why I stopped having a flutter on the Grand National (my horse always fell over... sometimes permanently - I felt like an equine Grim Reaper). So we're calling Eurovision the 'Grand International' now!
 
Boys are having first floor time in a very long time.
Hamish is watching Eurovision from the comfort of his cardboard house. Billy is accompanying with some hay cube chewing! Us hoomans are half watching, but piggy watching is currently winning over the tv.
 
Watched a few songs at Son No 2's house in Ealing and that was more than enough! Have now retired to the Premier Inn and have gone to bed.
 
We all gave up soon after 9pm (so didn’t watch for long at all in the end)& went to bed!
