Intermittent hooting

Thanks @Freela your kind words mean a lot. I feel so bad seeing her suffer and wish there was more I could do. As sad as I am about what's been has found though, it's weirdly a relief to know what the problem is at last. My vet's also been pretty optimistic that it can be managed so I've just got everything crossed that we find the right combination of meds for her soon.

Warning - pee/poop pics below.

Sorry to keep spamming the forum with Hazel's problems, but I came home today to find the guinea pig cage fully of these red/pink urine stains!

I immediately thought blood and after a bit of deduction I worked out it was definitely coming from Hazel - but is it blood?

The stains look very pink and they dry pink. I have another guinea pig with chronic bladder problems and her pee has never looked such a bright pink colour.

I phoned the vets this evening and she's going back tomorrow, but does anyone know what this could be?

Is she just super unlucky and now she's picked up a UTI or could it be a side effect of her new meds?

I don't know how much more of this we can take. 😢
