Thought I’d share a few snaps of Poland

We spent one night in Krakow.

Old Market Square


We saw the Barbican and the City Gate

Wawel Castle



Then off to Zakopane for 5 nights. This is a ski resort in the winter and a walking holiday in the summer.



Went up a venicular railway up to Gubalowka


Got a new friend. Not sure what Chester will make of him. He’s called Zac.


Deer in the local park. Saw 8 of them


Got to try the local Vodka obviously

We walked up to Morskie Oko which is a lake in the mountains. Did 32,000 steps yesterday and can feel every one of them this morning.

It was stunning and the weather was just right. Not too hot/cold.

It was a mint flavoured one. It was very nice. I’ve been trying to find chocolate vodka. But no luck … yet. I’ll keep try.

I’m really enjoying the Polish food. My husband’s family are Polish. I’m used to making pierogi, bigos, barszcz. But it’s nice to taste someone else’s recipe. Yum yum.
