i need help

so this is a bit morbid but i really need help, please don't hate on me i'm just trying to find out what's the best thing to do and i'm having a hard time with whats happened.

so almost 2 days ago now one of my piggies died and we were going to bury him in the back yard but it turns out that my garden is quite strange and won't let us dig for some reason and i was also very scared off my dog or a fox getting to him

i thought about cremation but due to what's going on in the world i really don't have the money for it and i really didn't know how much it would cost

please give me suggestions on what to do i really want to do what's best for him

I'm sorry our piggy passed away :'( I wouldn't know what to do as none of my piggies have ever passed away yet, hopefully u find an option soon.

Sorry you have lost your piggy. I understand this is not an easy topic to discuss and share your concern about foxes. I would ring round some vets to find out cremation prices, they can vary quite a bit. They will also ask if you want the ashes returned or not. General cremation where the ashes are not returned is the cheapest option but the price will vary from one practice to an other. I know it sounds morbid and grim but it will be ok to keep him wrapped up in the bottom of the freezer for a little time while you sort out finances.

Another option would be to buy a large plant pot and bury him in that, and place a small tree or bush on top.
I know many members have done this and it works quite well, and also means if you ever move house you can take your piggy with you.

So sorry you’ve lost your little piggie, sending hugs x
I lost Bill my little “Poppet“ in February and we bought a pot from the garden centre, compost, a few plants and bulbs and placed Bill in there about 6” deep. I’m so glad we did, I come out into the garden and I chat to him everyday. Bill’s pot has now got some bedding plants in there and looks lovely x

Yes, I’ve always buried pets in the garden, not in pots and of course when you move house you have to leave them behind, wondering what the new owners think of a little stone, a shrub or a patch of bulbs and will they just dig them up
