Quick update since the last post:
Since our other 2 piggies died we added the ladder back into their enclosure. Loki, the one who never went up the ladder again since falling down, now loves to chase eachother up and down. They’ll even wheek at eachother to come up. I put him at the top of the ladder at first so he just walked up really, and half way down when he was going downstairs. He absolutely loves it!

Anyways, back to the main point.
The weather is terrible in Ireland at the minute :td: And I’ve noticed a difference in the animals behaviour. the cats have been chasing eachother and running away from me since I got home, and the guinea pigs have been sleeping and cuddling all day. Cleaner shrimp got decapitated by the wave maker but that just happened, tortoises are sleeping under the heat lamp all day. Do Guinea pigs notice the weather? I know tortoises and cats can because of the air pressure or something like that (not very good at biology.)they have amazing senses anyway. There isn’t much online about guinea pigs so I’m not sure if they’re Just tired today. Is this all about the hurricane?

The cats are definitely the worst though. The pupils in their eyes are massive. They’ve been sprinting everywhere and scratching and chewing EVERYTHING! The weather has been quite bad before but I’ve never noticed anything. Anyone good at geography/ biology?

Would be greatly appreciated!

Rare picture of cat lying down in box. Magnificent!

I think piggies can sense air pressure changes. I'm convinced mine do even though they are indoors.
I had a cat who used to chase her tail round and round the garden in ever increasing circles when there was going to be a storm.

All animals are weather/air pressure sensitive, and we certainly are having our fair share of it at the moment!
My own poor head has been telling me that every single time before the next weather front hits! :(

Piggies definitely don't like windy weather, thunderstorms and gales. Always bring any outdoors pets indoors in extreme weather.
