How can i clean grass cuttings to make sure theres no fleas or parasites?

I use polar fleece for my herd. It is sewn with an absorbent layer in the middle of two fleece layers to make cage liners (carpets) for them. P_20200422_123432.jpgP_20200422_123425.jpg

I have the same hutch like yours, but it's quite small and doesn't adhere to the minimum required space. So I did this.

The hutch all have hay racks screwed to the wall, one in the bottom and 2 in the top. That is so every where they turn, they have hay. The bottom of the ramp has a wooden house to lessen the steepness of the ramp. In the top floor, I also put a wooden house inside the shaded room and removed the divider coz it just takes up some space. Hubby also added a thin plywood to cover half of the ramp opening for more space upstairs.

I just realised your cage is longer than mine. As long as the measurements of the bottom floor is at least 120cm x 60cm, then that's good for your 2 girls. Unfortunately the top floor doesn't count, although a lot of owners have 2nd floor or loft. Also, giving them floor time can be beneficial for them. You'd see the joy of how they can be happy chasing and running around.

Btw, I love your fish tank! We only have half of that. I want a bigger one but cleaning it is a pain in the bum! 😂

I love big fish tanks! They're a lot less maintenance too I have 8 fish in mine and I'll be needing to upgrade to a 150 gallon tank for two of my fish after I move out obviously lol but they're very slow growers luckily :) also working on plants again after my horrible snail infestation killed everything lol and I have a 20 gallon I started right when this virus stuff started so I only have two fancy guppies in there right now lol

I think ours is just 16 or 18 gallons (not really sure). We only have around 6 fishes in the thank. Only one gold barb left (which is around 5/6yrs old so it is nearing its end of life from what I can see; its last friend died around 2 months ago 😞), 2 golden loaches, 2 corydoras (all around 5 yrs old too), and 1 big pleco (it's more than 10 yrs old according to hubby). We were planning to add a few more small fish but because of the current situation, we can't do it.

Awh, that's so sad. :(

@flowerfairy where did you get those beds for them? Their adorable!

@Piggy101 If I could make a suggestion, there are tons of cheap fleece for guinea pigs on Etsy!

I got the adorable beds from ikea. 16.00 pounds each. Worth every penny!

I get polar fleece from ebay, also zorb and cotton mattress protectors for the absorbent layer.
