How big should a cage acctually be?

Zubins cageis 30" X 25" is this big enough for him because ive been reading a website that says 30"X50" is the minimum size I'm feeling guilty? I'd love to bulid him a huge C&C cage but i lack money and room?
 
well in the guinea piglopaedia it says the size of a hutch or cage for 2 piggies is 62cms x 38cms x 38cms(2 feet x 15 inches x 15 inches) but basically the bigger he cage that you can afford the better. have you looked on ebay.
 
Yeh,my mum just ordered some vet bed so on friday when i get my EMA(educational matience allowance) I'm going to argos to get some grids and my dad works in stores so hes offered to order me some coroplast ;D I'm going to have loads of fun with making a C&C cage, i will keep my old cage and use it when i first get my new female so i can have somewhere seperate for them while I'm introducing them! x
 
Piggie and Chesters cage is 4ftx2ft, home built using wood and chicken mesh.
 
Cool, Zubins looks huge because of the height of the cage wire but if you acctually look at the base you can see how small his living area is so i am going to get a move on with my C&C cage if i can find some correx big enough! its taken me three hours to find somewhere that stocks it but its far to smal! x
