Help! My Baby Pig wont Move :(

Hello

I like your DIY 😊. Have you set it up so his old cage is there on the right (I see a sort of doorway?) with the added run space we can see on the left containing green pigloo etc?

Gizmo is small and shy and he probably needs some more time to get used to coming out and exploring his new surroundings. Especially since he doesn't have a companion at the moment (I appreciate this isn't your fault at all) to make him feel braver.

I would just give him more time, and I'm sure he will come and start exploring in his own time. This might take a few days or even weeks if he's very nervous. You could also try having a blanket over all or part of the new run so he might feel less exposed.

Did you manage to find out if any rescues are currently open in ND or are they impacted by Coronavirus restrictions?

No i havent found anything yet. And i did think to put a cover over his new play area. Ill try that. That is his first pigloo he had it was garys old one. After the first night together and gary didnt look well i bought him his own cage and own pigloo. He spent the second night on a homemade house i amde from a cardboard box and other things it had a little hut made of cardboard but he just sat in corner sad and still :( he spent the next day in his new cage and used the pigloo...the one u see in pic. Than i gave it to gizmo cuz his never had a hut just a second floor that he used as a shelter. Anyway he liked the pigloo than i purchased a eatable timothy hut. And attached pieces of fleece as a door way...this cage is rather small not much space to run or popcorn. Yes i opened the door and made a sort of walk way outside the cage. But he really just stays in the new hut in his old cage.

tcage.that extra space goes back so he can see mirror i placed. I read somewhere it helps?

I've never tried showing ours a mirror but it's an interesting idea. Have you seen him look at it? How does he react?

He does stop to look i know that lol

But just about an hour ago..i have a fun loving but too curious 2 year old husky. If bedroom door is ledt open he will sneak in to be curious of gizmo. I always have gate door closed if i run out of room quick bit u as usually ALWAYS bedroom door. Being I'm trying to get gizmo a little less shy to venture out i have been spending lots of time with him in the room talking to him feeding him etc. Well buddy..the curious 2 year old...got.in room and door was open i was just on there talking to gizmo trying to entice him to come out...gizmo is so smart he went to a corner and jumped up inside his hay bailer. He was ok but let me pick him up and he snuggled in my neck for some time. He is stil moving and all but was making a squeak but very soft less loud version of his hungry squeak...is he ok? His fur was a biy wet which makes me think buddy licked him or something. I'm so good at making sure hes safe...i would absolutely die if something haooened to him
Should i take him to a vet to make sure. I also noticed he has a slight sneeze but that just started a whole ago today And hes sneezed maybe 4 times.

If you have a dog, you should get a covered cage and/or raise the cage out of dog reach so you can be sure no accidents happen.

Guinea pigs make many different noises. The loud "Wheeking" noise pretty much means "give me food human". Quieter squeeky sounds are also normal.

If you think he is in pain or injured you should take him to the vet. Is he eating and moving normally?

He was less bouncy and let me grab him and hold him and did the soft squeaks. He was very cuddly and he hasnt been. Like i said i always have things closed and it was play area i just made and always have his cage door closed and it is an enclosed cage. It was a brief mistake. I cried and we cuddled for some time. He is moving normal and he was eating. I kind of want him checked out anyway.
