Help Has My Guinea Pig Broke Her Leg!

He wasn't putting any weight on his leg at all and kept it close to his body . He only came out to eat . I noticed this in the evening. Fortunately , my vet runs a 24 hour service so I rang straight away and discussed whether he needed an emergency appointment. I managed to get an appointment 1st thing in the morning . I was so relieved when he was started on painkillers.

Okay thanks so much I will ring to book an appointment, do you to vets for pets? X
 
I go to vets for pets or Shannon lodge, Shannon lodge I don't think was open and vets for pets I didn't look xx
And I couldent today as I have my assessment coming up and I have a ton of work you know I will take her though Deffo x

If it's just a sprain - it'll heal up on it's own - your guinea pig just needs pain relief ( & anti inflammatory) . If it's a break - it'll need treatment
 
Hiya everyone I took fudge to the vets and it's only a sprain, they didnt do an x ray and I have Been perscribed Matecam and I have to give her 1mm which is what I was doing anyway for 1 week. Thanks guys for all your help xx

Great that you were able to get fudge checked out. The metacam dose sounds odd but it might be how you have written it - have you been given a 1ml syringe to use? Is it dog or cat metacam you have been given? It will say on the box.
Hope fudge starts to mend now - probably worth keep weighing fudge to check not losing weight if the sprain is painful.
