Don't worry - it is all fibre and won't do her any harm. You can give her the cardboard inners anyway, but she shouldn't have too much of the coloured paper bit. A one-off is no issue though.

ok thank you so much that was such a big help! I'm not getting her for about a month and I wanted to make some diy things for her and I'm just m

You're not being obnoxious - It's better to ask and be sure . I expect Wiebke will check this thread again. If not - either you or me can tag her tomorrow.

@Wiebke

OP has posted a tutorial clip and just wants to make for guinea pigs using kitchen roll rather than toilet paper. OP wants to make sure it is OK to make these using kitchen roll. Will it be OK if guinea pigs eat them ?

I give mine kitchen roll inners to chew on, sometimes filled with hay and sometimes not. So far, I haven't noticed any bad effects, having had piggies in my life for over 25 years.

Occasionally a kitchen roll gets mangled if it falls on the floor during cage clean or the piggies get hold of a full tissue box during their roam. Unless this is a daily occurrance, you need not worry.

Brown cardboard, toilet or kitchen roll inners are good to give to a piggy with a tummy upset (diarrhea or bloating) or after an operation as they crave rough, poor fibre to help balance the guts again.

It shouldn't hurt them. I give Hadley rolls to chew on and play with in the vain hope that it will keep her from chewing on other things (like my baseboards and walls!)
