Health issues just keep coming

Glad that she has got through the op. Are you able to syringe feed her? My vet always give us Critical Care to give our piggies for the first couple of days after surgery as they often don't feel like eating.
I have some dual care. She is eating more than she was. I think enough for overnight and for me to judge in the morning if I need to step in.

Billy was quite spaced after his bladder stone operation.

I hope Pumpkin is enjoying her hay, and you all managed to have a good night.

Feeling very anxious this morning. There was a bit of a smell in her bed this morning, it was clean so then I'm worried about infection. Though I think her wound just smells of vets. Hopefully it's all fine. But then I worry that I could cause a hernia picking her up 🤦🏾. But I didn't seem to hurt her. And when I think about it if she was going to get a hernia after I picked her up she would have been getting one anyway as I didn't squeeze her. Pumpkin's last surgery she got a hernia and then a bad infection so I'm anxious. Her check up is on Tuesday because of the bank holiday.

It's very hard watching them in pain. I hope things get better for you and little Pumpkin. We'll done for all the caring nursing ❤️

Thank you. I'm just anxious about something going wrong over the weekend after last time.

Poor little Pumpkin, hopefully its nothing and its just one of those paranoid thoughts of panic we all get. Keeping my fingers crossed for the little one x

Long bank holiday weekends are the worst when you are anxious about a piggy. If she’s eating and drinking well, peeing and pooping ok then try not to worry too much about her. Just give her her meds and hopefully she will make a speedy recovery.

Update on my Pumpkin. She has some wound swelling. Started antibiotics. But with her history of a hernia also wary of that. Contacting the vet tomorrow with an update before the weekend incase she needs to come in again.

Hopefully the swelling will settle down. Sending healing vibes to Pumpkin. ❤️

Hopefully the antibiotics help and the swelling settles down. Hugs to Pumpkin

Thank you 😊. I don't think she needs to go to the vets today which is good. I've had some pain squeaking I think it's her- got a pig with IC but perhaps not unusual considering her op.

It is Pumpkin squeaking in pain, I've just seen her do it
