Healing vibes needed for The One And Only Thea please.

Dear One and Only Thea we hope you are feeling much better. As slaves go you seem to have a good one. She is making you better which will help us all in the long run. We still think follow all the good advice you’ve been given and that you know about already. Sending healing wheeks Bobby & Geoff

We hope you are feeling better today, Thea! This will all be over soon, don't worry.

Healing wheeeeeks,

❤️ Clover and Stella ❤️

I can't get any more brown goo out of Thea's abscess site, there is still a bit more in there as I can see it but it refuses to come out. Thea has had enough of being in sink prison and having her abscess flushed twice a day but she really enjoys the blueberry afterwards. Her eye is much better now but she's not keen on the eyedrops or the Sulfatrim. Thea is back to the see the vet tomorrow evening at 6.30. I'll see what the vet says about the abscess and whether it still needs flushing.

Good luck for tomorrow. Poor Thea, all that flushing and meds and stuff in your eyes for one little blueberry, I think you deserve an apple 🍎

When Pepper had his abscess he actually liked me putting a cotton bud with a hanky over the end of it into the wound.

Good luck at the vets tomorrow.

Thea only has a small incision, the vet didn't marsupialise? marsupulialise? (whatever leave it stitched open). I can only just about fit a cotton bud into it. The end of the 3ml syringe fits in nicely to flush out any goo that's in there. I've also managed to squeeze quite a bit out too. :vom:

Took Thea back to the vet tonight. Chloe (vet) is very happy with how her eye is healing so only 3 more days of eyedrops. Chloe opened up Thea's abscess site again, gave it a good flush and only got out a little bit of brown goo (the bit I could see but not remove) and she said another 2 days of flushing along with with Metacam and Sulfatrim for another week. She was pleased with how the abscess had dried out with the salt water flushes.

The girls are off to Aunty Lucy's for 3 weeks tomorrow night. Lucy has never done an abscess flush before. She only has to do 2 of them. She also needs to do Thea's eyedrops 4 times, give Thea Metacam 4 times and Sulfatrim twice a day for another 7 days. As well as give Meg Metacam twice a day! Just as well Lucy is lovely and has agreed to all of this.

Enjoy your holiday @Betsy. 🌞 I'm sure the piggies will have a good holiday too.

We are going on holiday tomorrow and leaving our piggies with someone new, so i am a little worried (even though she seems lovely and has great reviews). We have 3 piggies on long term meds and our 2 old girls, Mavis and Peggy, have become quite frail over the past few months. Losing two piggies while away last year has spoilt the enjoyment of the build-up to our holiday and i think it will be difficult to leave them tonight.
