Healing vibes needed for The One And Only Thea please.

Woke up today to find that Thea had haypoke. I managed to get the last available appointment today which was at 9.45 this morning. Chloe (Vet) managed to get a HUGE hay seed out of Thea's eye along with a little bit that had broken off. She also lanced an abscess that had been growing for a while and that I had mentioned to another vet about a month or so ago but he said he thought it was just a lump as it wasn't adhered to anything and that I should just monitor it. Thea didn't half squeak when the scalpel went in (I didn't see it as Chloe had taken Thea out the back). Thea has Isathal eyedrops for 7 days and Sulfatrim at 0.25ml and I have to flush out the abscess until it runs clear with no more pus. The piggies are going to the Boarders on Thursday night for a 3 week holiday. I hope Lucy will be OK with flushing out the abscess site.

Ach the wee woman 😢. Hope the worst is over now for her and she will feel a bit better every day cx
 
Get well soon Thea, Blod is very impressed you managed a double illness vet trip score- haypoke plus abscess- and she hopes that your hooman has factored this in with double get well snacks!
Blod recommends grapes, we all know poorly people get grapes, preferably at least half a grape per eyedrop dose, with a side order of coriander or parsley every abscess flush x

The Slave doesn't have grapes but she does have banana so Thea gets a bit of banana with an eyedrop and coriander after an abscess flush. Thea would like every pig and every Slave to note that she definitly DOES NOT like yukky Sulfatrim (I have told her it is a lot nicer than yukky Baytril) but loves Metacam.
 
Aw Thea, get well soon! You must be an extremely brave girl, our little Misty went in to see a nurse today for an injection and even though they swapped to the smallest needle possible, she screamed the place down! She would have fainted at the sight of a scalpel.

Thea certainly DOES NOT like her abscess flush! There is a lot of grumpy noises emanating from Thea when she is in sink prison on a towel and pinned to the side of the sink so she doesn't move! On the plus side, I have managed to squeeze some thick brownish gunk out :vom: By the feel of it there is considerably more thick brownish goo left.
 
Poor Thea! Hope you are feeling much better soon.
Make sure you get lots of nice yummy treats after your treatment.

Poor girl. Be a brave girl gorgeous Thea, it’ll all be gone soon and you’ll be all healed! ❤️
I’ve found it so much easier to hold piggies/chin on my knee etc with their abscess flushes, get in a wet mess and through lots of towels but over and done with faster so they can glare at and moan about me until the next one! :)) Hope it heals quickly for you both! :hug:x

Yes Thea gets either some coriander, a bit of banana or a blueberry after such an ordeal. She also has eyedrops, Sulfatrim and Metacam so the poor girl has to put up with a lot atm.:soz:
 
Dear One and Only Thea, we realise that it’s difficult for you to write a letter to the GPU for yourself so we consulted them for you.
I’m afraid their reply was sympathy for your ordeal but saying that all this nasty medicine and flushing is for your own good.
Your slave is just trying to make you all better.

Priscilla just thinks you should do lots of extra poops over your slave, Micah says to wheek louder for extra coriander to make you feel better.

We do hope your suffering doesn’t go on much longer.

Oh poor Thea. She really has been in the wars with both an abscess and a hay poke in the one vet visit. Sending her healing vibes.

Dear Priscilla and Micah

I did consider writing a letter of complaint to the GPU about the fact that the vet cut a hole in my side and then shaved it without asking my permission and took hay out of my eye also without my permission (my eye does feel so much better now though), but decided against it as my role as Shop Steward is to help others and not myself.

I realise that my Slave is being cruel to be kind but it doesn't stop the fact that twice a day I get salt water sprayed into my side and then my side is squeezed to get out brown goo while I'm in sink prison on a nice soft towel. Also I have to have a drop in my poorly eye then I am made to take yukky sulfatrim and Metacam which is a lot nicer.

As a bonus for being a good girl, I do get a blueberry or a bit of banana once I have been through to ordeal of being in sink prison and I also get some coriander after my eye drop and medicine.

I do poop on my Slave but maybe I should poop more just so she knows how unhappy I am and I get coriander but it is a good idea to wheek for more, I'll be trying that one.
