Junior Guinea Pig
It does appear to be super expensive as I just bought 3 x 2kg bags of Supreme Choice Meadow Hay for £2.89 each..and I just noticed that you can get 10kg for £8.28 on Amazon(!). Obviously the Ings hay is organic but still is double the price for a 9.5kg. I may have tried it on the off chance if I hadn't bought the hay yesterday but I had to stop buying hay from my local farm shop recently as it had thorns in that would sting me (and my friend who bought some too) and basically my piggies stopped eating it. I'm not sure if this was to blame for one of my piggies getting gut statis at the time and nearly dying but I have to buy the pre-packaged stuff now.
I would think twice about buying fresh hay that 1: hasn't been dust extracted and 2: may have thorns and insects in it as with the same thorny hay I got bitten by what I realised from Google was a spider and the large weeping sore was there for about 6 weeks and both my arms were itchy and nothing helped, not even antihistamines! I have learnt my lesson now! lol
