Adult Guinea Pig
I adopted Autumn as well as Blossom at the beginning of 2022. Unwanted pets with fungal issues and underweight. I adopted them for my lone boar Cyril, after he and his brother fell out. It was love at first sight.

Autumn has always been a scardy pig but soon came out of her shell within a few weeks of being home. We did have a pregnancy which didn't end well but she bounced back and became a rather large, yet healthy, piggy.

After Cyril was neutered and healed, he moved in with Autumn and Blossom and she became a more confident and active piggy. It was like her and Cyril were a match made in heaven.

She enjoyed many things including comfy beds, naughty treats and free roam time which mostly consisted of her lay in the hay pile or by the radiator watching the world go by.

We had a few near misses, suffering during heatwaves and nearly losing her twice and I wouldn't like to count the amount of times she had a hay poke! But she bounced back, unfazed and looking for her next meal. The only time I ever saw you try and run was when you had your nails clipped. All was forgiven with cuddles afterwards though, but maybe the carrots and strawberries helped. Who knows.

I knew it was likely that in the near future I'd be adding your name to the rainbow bridge Autumn, I just didn't think it'd be so soon. I missed seeing your face this morning while handing out the veggies, I had to remind myself that you are no longer with us. Everyone seemed quieter today, like they all knew. It's strange. The sky was beautiful that night, the stars were out for you. The cuddle we had before your departure was so nice, I could tell how much it meant to you as it did to me, I just wished we could of had longer. I hope you are at peace now my darling Autumn. My chonker. My guinea pig brick.
This will always be my favourite picture of you
