I am in a tizz, my boy branston who lives in doors is covered in mats, I sure he back combs himself at night ;D

since he lives indoors do you think it would be ok to give him a really good cut, and a bath, he stinks?
 
Don't see why not, then he'll smell all pretty for Christmas :smitten:
 
Yeah! No problem at all. try to towel dry him as much as possible and then if necessary use a hairdryer on the coolest lowest setting, and from quite a distance too. It might be an idea to give him his fave treat to munch on while this is going on - distraction technique I've found works very well! I usually put a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel in a small cardboard box with other towels or fleeces in, and then add piggy after I've done as much drying as possible. Good luck O0 and I'm sure he'll look and smell lush afterwards!
 
hi yeah i did archie last week, and he didnt mind the hairdryer.. i thought he was going to freak out on me! lol
 
when i did archie i just did his bum, cus thats where he was knotty so i did like the back half.. having said that he kept standing up so i couldnt do the front of him anyway!
 
oh LJ can u post a piccie of timmy? i wanna show my mum what he looks like with his long coat :)
 
well i only gave myn a bath last weekend end they are fine mine are also indoors.
just make sure he well dry before he goes back into his cage.

well he was not impressed :(, but he had the biggest dred lock i have ever seen on the pig, so he has been shorn and bathed and had the hair dyer on him, and i must say he is so chirpy its amazing,

God i love this pig he is the best

You were fortunate we didnt have an extra carrier when we got Hamish & Elmo because I felt a huge pignapping feeling coming on ;D
 
He almost jumped out the bath, i was worried for him but it had to happen but its all over till next time

brilliant thanks.. i remeber seeing one with his fur long and lovely looking, and he's same colour as archie i wanna show my mum what he could look like lol archies fur is odd it keeps going curly at the ends and looking a mess :-\
 
Timmys does that too, thats what it looks like at the moment! Just cleaning the kitchen (which I better get on with lol) then its Timmy time ;D
