Had To Separate My Boys ;(

Mission complete (for now anyway) fudge is in the smaller cage. Thing is he's acting all sweet and innocent talking to Alby. Alby came trotting up to the divider and rumbled loudly at fudge wiggled his hips and then ran back up the other end to his hay. Lol.

I don't think I am going to put them together again without a divider/grids between them as it was a horrible fight. Naughty boys! Lol.
I had this with my Oreo and Alex :( I hope you get sorted hun sorry I'm not much use as I'm facing sending Alex for the op and oreo will have a new friend when I fine a suitable match :)

My boys had this issue about a year ago, they've since been separated and living side by side in a modified C&C. They were chattering and lunging for each other through the bars to begin with, but soon settled and now sleep side by side every night and talk to each other when they fancy :) While it really isn't ideal, I also don't have the money or space to adopt/rehome 2 more pigs for them (male or female), then the housing, possible vet bills, etc...

They are happy the way they are at the moment, I give them extra floor time to compensate and when finance and space permits, I'll be expanding my pigs :) Don't feel bad for separating them, very needed and they'll be fine this way x

Fudge is fascinated by the Perspex. Lol. He keeps licking it. It's honestly the cutest thing ever.

They have both appeared to settle down for now.

I am glad too. I was so stressed out I had a drink last night. Lol (I hardly ever drink) thanks for all the support. Piggies r stressful. Lol.

image.webp Mission complete. Each piggy has a 3x2 c&c joined in the middle so they can see each other. Alby is the happiest I've ever seen him. So many popcorns it's crazy. Lol. Fudge was not doing so good he seemed depressed. However now he's in a bigger cage he seems fine. He wants to be with Alby but alby's not interested. I wish I could get fudge a friend but I am scared incase it happens again as he's a wee thug. Lol. Anyway here's the end result of my work. (Whys my pic upside down?) lol.

That looks fab! Lucky boys! If they insist on having their own pad each then it's their own fault! Fab piggy mummy! :P

When I put fudge into the 3x2 he made a strange noise. Kind of like a rumble strut noise but a different pitch. (Higher) then proceeded to run in crazy circles round and round. Trashed the fleecy items and then settled to munch hay. Lol.

Lol. I've never heard them make that noise. (Snowball used to make that noise when he was running about at floor time. Lol.) glad he's happy.

Omg. I am going crazy. I had to remove the Perspex screen as someone had chewed a little piece off of it and made a sharp edge. Now I have 2 piggies going crazy rumbling puffed up like porcupines. And chewing the bars. Will they break their teeth? Alby is calmed down sleeping but fudge won't stop chewing. Will he ever stop?

image.webp My temporary solution. Lol. Put a fake correx wall up between the two of them. It worked for about 2 mins. Lol. Then fudge started chewing it. I give up.

Such a bummer :( I have one pig out of 4 that hates one of my other pigs. Such a bummer that they can't be happy together but when they drew blood, I admitted defeat. AT least I can pair them off tho!

image.webp image.webp Yes they are definately keeping me on my toes. Lol. The fake correx wall seems to have worked for now.
