Guinea pigs + amigurumi

You have to be able to interpret the pattern as well!
Yes, that's true. But some patterns are made for beginners and amigurumis are easier to crochet than lace or anything like this (these patterns would make me run away screaming) because you only need the single crochet most of the time. If you choose the right hook and the right wool (one that can be undone easily), maybe a YouTube-tutorial to get you started, you only need to try it out.
Since you are great at knitting I'm sure you could learn it. But unfortunately you're too far away to come together so that I could show you how easy it is.

I've tried simple crochet patterns but just can't get my head round it. My Mum and both my Grandma's never managed crochet either.

Maybe it runs in the family. ;)
My mum doesn't like to crochet or knit (she is great at sewing), but I think my grandma was a bit into crocheting (the lace stuff :yikes:).

I love amigurumi, unfortunately I’ll never be able to crochet. I have a muscle disorder that means repetitive fine motor skills cause a lot of pain after a few moments. I did try crochet once but after 10mins it was just pure agony 😢.

I love all the tiny animals and fruits/veggies. But there are also a lot of great cactus and other plants too like this one which thankfully I didn’t purchase before find out out crochet was a no go.
Christmas Cactus

Your creations are amazing! I love them all, and the real piggies. Keep up the great work!
