Hey you'll!

I figured I'd share the Fleece DIY projects I've gotten done so far, and invite all of you guys to show me what you've made too! I know motivation can be hard to come by sometimes, and looking at other people's creations always inspires me. ^-^ If anyone wants to share, as long as you didn't buy it pre-made, it counts! Hay racks, liners, tunnels, beds, anything, any material.

So far, I've completed a 2x1 Fleece Forest for under my half loft done, 2 Corner Fleece Forests(Hammocks if I hang them somewhere else I guess) for above the half loft, 6 potty pads, a snuggle cup, and a hay bag done. I feel really proud, and I'm excited to finish up my personal projects and keep posting them here. I've got a good chunk of things still to sew... 😅

Materials include fleece, cotton batting, Uhaul pads, and a cotton square+velcro. I do have a sewing machine as well, though I did make the Hay Bag and one practice hammock before getting it.

Fleece Forests (Propped up on some of my billion Gatorades that need recycled)

The Snuggle Sack! This one took a long while to puzzle out, I had to make a lot of tiny demo ones. It's about 11" long, and about 9" wide.

The Potty Pads! (4) 14"x9", and (2) 9"x9"

And finally, the Hay Bag! 9"x22"

The final things on the agenda are a bunch of foam tunnels, and some liners for my loft.

Thanks for taking a read everyone, and please, feel free to share your own creations!

You are very clever I fell out with the sewing machine years ago! Loving the use of the Gatorade Bottles.

Thanks I suppose xD I think I'm just really good at covering up my mistakes... I'm pretty new to sewing to be honest. My great grandma taught all my siblings and I basic sewing and embroidery when we were really little, but I haven't touched it since up to now. My first fleece hammock was a MESS, and I've had the worst luck learning how to sew in a straight line. I don't think the Guinea Pigs will mind if it's a bit wonky though :lol!:

And yes, I don't drink tea, coffee, energy drinks, or anything else because my health isn't the greatest. So I mostly subsist off of Gatorade and Propel until recycling day. Unfortunately, this also means I can usually make Empty Bottle Obstacle Courses by the time the bin comes around :))

Here it is! I tried a different style to this cuddle cup, to more closely match the other type of tunnels I'll be making soon. Things went a little wonky... I broke two needles being adventurous... :P

This one ended up with a super thick, padded side, and one side with barely anything. It looks the best as a cave, but if I turned it upside down, it would be a really comfy bed with a blanket! We'll see what the pigs prefer when they get here. Overall, I think it looks good!

I'm excited too! I tried to make them really large so that they'll fit an okay-sized pig, but my boys will look so small in them xD

They will at first but if they are the crazy haired pigs I remember you posting they might end up looking alot bigger as they grow- my pig Roma looks massive & her hair adds at least an inch all over!

Hair does add poof indeed... Who knows what they'll look like though! I'm really curious to find out. Is there a definite link between certain breeds and being bigger as a general rule though?

Pretty sure there would be- there's probably a thread on here somewhere about it 😊. This is the first herd I've had and I've always had the smooth american piggies before so thats what I was used to but these 6 are all quite different in build, looks, hair, length & personality. I think they are all a mix of breeds anyway & like humans come in all shapes & sizes! Hopefully you wont end up with a mammoth size pig too big for your creations 😂

A bit if a throwback, but I made a bath mat later for the loft if my cage and figured I'd share! It's cleaning day so they've got their temporary liner down, but they'll have their main liner back soon.

It took a bit of hassle, but in glad with how it turned out! The side walls are attached using double sided tape strips, and the bottom mats are actually velcro to the base for removability for washing! I didn't have enough velcro for the walls unfortunately.

I took a few pictures before I put anything in, and then as I put their stuff back in. We had to move the cage off of its stand so an electrician could access the crawl space, so they're a bit out of their element on the floor. They'll be back up here soon though, and then I can really put back in more treats and hay. My back is killing me from putting all those mats in while on the floor!

I've learnt that my boys are natural born pigletes apparently! They really like climbing, gives me quite a fright when I see them doing it. Koda is the main culprit.
