Guinea pig continually blowing air out of nose

We luckily have been able to give him the medicine, and so far he has had 2 days worth of dosages. I have noticed however that most of his discharge is clear. There is sometimes dried up greenish snot (which I know can indicate an infection) but most of the time I just see clear discharge from his nose (the vet said the same thing when she looked at him). Does this point to it being an allergy? Like I said he does occasionally have dried up snot, but almost every time he sneezes I check his nose and it’s a clear liquid. I will still of course finish out his treatment of Chloramphenicol, but I was just curious what this usually means. I’m also worried that maybe this is something more serious than either an allergy or a URI since he is sneezing extremely often

I would take him back to the vet if he is still sneezing regularly and having discharge.

Aww he is adorable... poor little thing.. its good that he is eating and drinking etc.. I have no advice just wanted to say I hope that you get to the bottom of it.. The burrito wrap is good for getting medicine in them...you wrap them up apart from their head... stops them wriggling away and backwards! I also find you have to be firm and if you can open their mouths they will let you but its no fun as owner as you feel bad - but got to be cruel to be kind!

So an update on Timmy. After giving him about 8 days worth of Chloramphenicol he is doing much better. His breathing sounds a million times better and while he does still occasionally do that little sneeze, there is no longer any discharge coming out of his nose (the “sneezes” are also much softer). I have read that sometimes if you treat a URI late there can be some permanent effects, and I’m just assuming that for the rest of his life he will occasionally have little sniffles. He also seems much happier than when he was having the discharge coming out, and I am very thankful to see him as his full self once again :)
