Shouldn’t be because of fibreplex, others know how to distinguish blood from coloration but I have no experience with that. Have a quick glance at threads on this health forum with title blood in pee, I think @Wiebke knows how to judge if it’s blood or not. I think it depends on how it dries up.

he must be the most unluckiest boy in the world , so I'm just wondering if this problem is occurring because he is not eating properly , I'm lost again of what to do because he has started a habit of only eating when you put it in front of he's face , other then that he does eat some hay.

does anyone think i should risk the xray ? do they always put them to sleep ? i generally think he would sit still while they do it.

I'm drained from all this as it takes up all my morning and i drive home at lunch times to hand feed , and i cant go out after work... i just want to know what the problem is... ( my wife is giving birth in 10 weeks and i cannot be going through this at the same time , but i would Never PTS while he is actually in a recovering state )

the vets only suspected Pneumonia , and never xrayed him, he is definitely out of danger with breathing and he is eating but in my eyes , no where near enough...

should i get the xray or just wait and see?.... Also he is now started squeeking and acting scared everytime i pick him up, probably because of the syringe feeding.

arghhhh!

I can only repeat what I said a couple of days ago to the same question: perhaps it’s time to take him to a cavy savy vet and they can advise on whether to X-ray or ultrasound him, we can’t tell that from the forum.

And to weigh him, as said.

I appreciate it’s been a really really rough ride for you, it’s a little easier when you have a good vet to rely on rather than trying to figure it out on your own. Let us know how you get on!

update : he is definitely getting he's little personality back , more interested in shouting for food and standing on he's bowl.

weighed him tuesday and wednesday and the diffrence in weight was 5grams , i have also recently discovered that sonnie was a fat boy , he is near 1350grams ,
which means he was most likely 1.5 kg when he 1st got ill.... crazy that i never even noticed.

fantastic , he is back to full health and is very playful , i actually think he has bonded more with us. and he is back to jumping and shouting for food... its so nice to see him like this , to think we almost lost him and all the hard work and care paid off. Thanks xx
