Guinea pig Beatles fans!

My piggies have something dead against any sounds coming from my phone, be it voices or music. Something about the slight tinny quality really annoys them, so I try not to play anything on my phone that can be played on the computer. However... Clicking a link to the Strawberry Fields video I was bracing myself for the usual rumble/purr of annoyance and heard nowt. I took a quick look in the cage and two out of four were stock still listening and the other two completely unperturbed. Anyone else find their pigs have a definite musical taste?

Kind of musical? My boys HATE bells, even the little tiny ones you get on cat collars, if it even moves the tiniest bit the boys will run, faster than you could imagine, across the floor (because of the way their cage is set out with a small pet shope cage and a run attatched) and into their “cage”

Ollie pig just hates music which is unfortunate because piggy daddy is in a choir and all the piggies have their own songs he sings for them! Ollie just plain hates it piggy daddy has reworked many songs just for Ollie with words about guinea pigs but he's having none of it! My main herd are quite musical because usually a singing hooman has been drinking beer or wine and will be fairly indiscriminate with the veggie snacks
All mine hate hooman sounds coming from a box that isnt a hooman, I guess because we dont have TV they dont expect spooky hooman voices coming out of the wrong place!

I find my pigs love Mozart lol and my late Sam used to really relax to the 2 and a half men theme tune for some reason.

Dot hates debit card machine beeps at the vet, loud music, doorbell, phone ringing but. Bernie doesn't care about anything

We can't use the stereo anymore because chickpea hates it so much. Putt (RIP) used to love Ollie Murs and always used to run out of her hidey when he was on the telly. Megan (RIP) was a fan of LMFAO and Mr SB used to dance with her to their music.

I guess he was lol, he used rumble when I played UB40 or any rock music but that theme tune seemed to calm him.My girls are subject to a lot of Korean pop music and they don't seem to mind it lol

Any tinny sound (excepting the Beatles) brings on the grrrr of doom. Also they are big on manners, as a sniff results in many grrrs but hankie use in none

Well it’s not exactly music, but the tune the fridge door makes when it opens sends the boys nuts

With mine it’s the jingle of keys - they probably associate that sound with the entry of a slave into the house and the coming of food

I was just listening to the playback of a lecture I gave today that the students wanted recording... no reaction from the piggies... then when I played a snippet from my friend's lecture back (to compare sound quality etc) Ollie and Tallulah went nuts! They must recognise my voice pretty well even as a recording, they were very unsettled by my scottish mate they havent met talking out of my phone!

I remember singing simple man by lynard skynard but the Jenson ackles version to my late mummy pig when she was poorly and I had to syringe feed her.I think it helped calm her and me too.
