Guinea Pig barely moving and refusing to eat

Bless her. 3 is still young. She could be alone for another 3-4 years. Is there definitely no chance of a new friend for her?
I mean, we definitely won't be able to get her a new friend, as for putting her up for adoption... That's going to be hard since we dont know anyone who is truly TRUSTED. Also I thought that guinea pigs live for an average of 4 years and that's why my other piggy died. Now that I think of it, why did she even die? She was totally ok and energetic yesterday and today she suddenly stopped being ok and died?

Unfortunately it definitely seems to be a digestive issue maybe due to lack of hay, it is strange that your other is fine though. Has he had good hay and water intake prior

I’m so so sorry for all of your losses, I am a New Guinea pig owner I have had my boy for 4 months. I see how important it is for him to have a friend and thankfully I believe you can get him one within the next month. I also was scammed by the pet store because the said the cage was good however it doesn’t meet the size standard and it was 300$. Anyway before I got my piggy I had gotten a hamster who sadly passed after only two weeks. I was told then it was my fault because he did have everything he needed but it was something very sad. Opie seems to not be to sad alone right now only sometimes getting scared if I move to sudden. I will be getting a c&c cage set up as well for my new piggy so they can live together
It is normal for guinea pigs to get scared when you move too aggressively or with loud sounds since they have sensitive hearing. I am sorry for your loss, I hope you and Oppie have great times together just like I did with Prince and Oliver.

Everything seemed fine, water was filled up and hay was full. All I know is that she kept pooping and peeing inside the bowl of hay but I don't think that is the problem since the other one is ok

I saw a guinea pig at the pet store who was very cute when I was last there so I believe I can get him in two weeks if he is still there. Also pet co has a lack of care and knowledge about guinea pigs and it upsets me they don’t tell people what the piggies need setting them up for a sad ending

Yeah, I mean at the pet store I got Prince they are putting guinea pigs in the same cages as bunnies, that's just unacceptable!

I’m so sorry, he must have gotten something that may even have not been preventable at the time. But watch your other piggie closely and make sure to clean out all poop and pee in case it was transmit-able

Good idea, I'll make sure I do

In reply to what you should do for him, if you decide to cremate him great! What I did for my little hamster was cut a little fur off and put it in this pet locket thing I then buried him and got a custom gravestone. It has snowed so I need to find it again

My guinea pig gave me a scare he made a strange poop and also my have bladder sludge. I found weird yellow clump in his pee. But I am going to change his veggie diet for the petter and feed less pellets with filtered water

Just remembered to help your lone piggy you can look up on YouTube, Spotify, or anything else like that, guinea pig popcorning sounds, or wheeking. It will help your piggy feel less lonely and often the will make sounds back!

I will! I have put her inside a box and covered him with a paper towel. I will put in the last tomato she was supposed to eat but never did and burry her by a tree and then put an image of her on the tree. I hope there are not too many passersby but if there are, I hope they pay their respects and not vandalize the grave. I will check on it regularly and hope no one vandalizes it. I hope I had a more private area where I could burry her.

That tomato pet almost made me cry 😢, so sweet. I buried my hamster with his little house and favorite toys, I also made a commemorative video.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Piggies can live up to around 8 years.
This is why we would be encouraging you get to your piggy a new friend as at only 3 years your piggy will be alone for far too long. It’s difficult if that’s not possible though

Also something else to note about my other piggy, she is really scared all the time, she used to hide below prince's fur but she can't anymore. Even after 3 years she is scared of getting picked up and doesn't want to be pet

That is normal. Most piggies never want to be picked up and a lot don’t want to be stroked.
Will she take food from your hand? If so then that is a sign she trusts you and is in fact comfortable.

Unfortunately if she is a nervous piggy, without a companion she is likely to become even more nervous

Yeah, she does grab food from my hand but she usually hides

Hi, I am sorry for your loss.

I just wanted to add I wouldn’t recommend playing guinea pig sounds for your piggy, as it is often more upsetting for a pig than enriching.
Hearing the sounds of a piggy but then being unable to see/hear/smell them can leave your piggy running around their cage trying to find the friend, therefore getting them all worked up to no avail (because there is not actually a friend for them to see)

It's done, I buried her next to a tree bellow my house and next to the sea. May her soul rest in peace 🕊️. I also put the tomato I was talking about, I will check on her every day and make sure the box I buried her in is still there.

So nice and peaceful, she had a happy life

By the way, is it possible that she died because I picked her up while she was sick? She tried laying on her side and did weird sounds. So I picked her up and put her on the couch. After some minutes she died.

No that’s not what would have happened.
As she was unwell then she would have succumbed to the illness
