thanks for asking! Hes still 100% ok in himself but dispite that he still has a bad tummy i had to feed Zub veg seperatly but i felt so guilty i have been mixing the arrowroot nad the probiotic with warmish water and he loves it but his bellys still bad. And my family have practically evicted them from my room as last night they didnt shut up chewing nad rumbeling when will the rumbeling stop, Kellie how long was it before Tonic stoped the rumbeling?

Well, probably as they get older it will not happen that often but usually it's normal between males. They do it to show who is the more domainant one, just showing off basically. Glad he is feeling much better, Well done Griff !

yeah i just wish they would shut up i know thats mean lol but their so damn noisy my sister said she didnt sleep and the same with my mum and dad which with my mum and dad is understandable as there room is next to the wall the piggies are up against my dad wants me to 'get rid of those ****** rodents!' hes never been a caring person towards any of our animals but i wont give up without a fight lol my mum wouldnt let him take them away she loves them too much but i can see them being relocated though just where i dont no! anyways Griff has vets in the AM but its with a nurse but she might be able to prescribe something for him he likes the warm arrowroot mixture i think it must be soothing having a warm milky mixture when your little like he is.

Ahh Verity I know how you feel. The first time I had to feed Mildred seperate from George I cried my eyes out. Good luck at the vets tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you both
x

i hope the vet can fix him up because hes such a lovely piggie so friendly and cute i'd hate for anything to happen to him and Zubin would to x

I'm sure he'll be fine love. Am certain the vet will be able to help.

Ton rumbles occasionally these days but not enough to make Guinea run off! He aint bothered anymore..

The rumbling with those two only lasted for about two days, but like I said Tonic does it now and again..

Jin and Tonic (my gay boys before Guin) were rumbling at least once a day! But not enough for it to bother me.. Are they actually mounting one another? And does it smell bad?

One way to get them re-assigned to each other is to put a little (not a blob, just enough for them to smell) bit of vick on each of their noses.. they will wonder what the smell is and wont bother with each other for a while..

Also maybe Zubin is still trying to let Griffin know that he is the man and Griffin is in his territory (showing his dominance), which is fine as long as there's no agression, sounds like they are just still getting used to each other..

It'll stop soon, I promise!

aww maybe tonic took to guinea so quick because he was very little griffin is now erm 10 weeks there ok together theres no smell or aggression its usually when there eating or when i turn out the lights, we are gettin a much longer cage soon when my mum gets paid as its about £52! i think that might help because with there log cabin there isnt much room this isnt a problem in summer because they'll be out in our run all day! he hasnt mounted him in ages just rumbleing i think they will be in the bath/ dwnstairs tonight my mum n sister have bags lol I'm gettin sleep i just sleep through it! i will try the vicks thanks for the tip x

could well be due to the lack of space then lovey! It was just Zubins cage before now he has to share his space, but seems there aint much of it! lol
If it was a rumble as in to mount, (i.e bonk him!) then there certainly would be some smell!

Try the vick lovey, it works well!

cool, will do i dont pay for nurses appointments bobbins got to come too (she has mites) lol all our animals will be there practically today x

you might also be able to save a bit of money by taking Zubin too.. Sometime ago when I had to take Jin to the vets after his fall, I would also take Tonic too, and they had a look at him too at no extra cost!

Hopefully things will be fine, do let us know lovey..

It's not your fault entirely on the lack of space, don't beat yourself up about it!

Thanks the bathroom thing worked great no rumbles in there hehe probably because its both neutral and spacious x

thanks everyone, hes got it again though >:( he was fine for days then i give him a tiddly bit of veg and hes bad again so its no more veg for him for a while!

i give him
  • Cucumber
  • Broccili
  • Carrot
  • Apple
  • Banana (just a little bit)
I have had to wash him today because hes been so messy i will ring vets in the am if its no better xx

I would say lay off the apple and banana for now and not too much broccoli.. maybe just cabbage and cucumber for a while with dry food and hay..

He now has loads of hay and dry food and more probiotic ringing Macki(our vet) in the morning to get a appointment

good luck with it, sounds like he may just have a difficulty in getting used to the variety of food on offer!
