I think someone mentioned gps could be fed on goat feed, or horse feed? Would anyone recommend this, or not? thanks

No, its for goats! And contains Locust Beans which can get caught on teeth (am careful with that, I have a 3 Incisored girl ::) ) The seeds can get 'caught' in the molars. Southern Cavy Club brought this to members attention a few years ago :)

;D I know you did ILA, no it was ages ago, someone said the oats in goat feed & horse feed is ok for guineas...maybe I was dreaming, epescially as it gets stuck in teeth etc ? ;D

Oh right well i know a few people who actually feed horse feed/rabbit feed but not goats feed O0

Not sure what locust beans are but are they green things ? I got 4 piggies from a breeder ages ago and all she fed them on was oats :-\

Years ago I fed a bran, oats and flaked maize self made mix because there was no such thing as guinea mix and horse nuts are just soooo big! They had grass and herbage every day never bought any veg, I always went and gathered grass.

Locust Beans are dark brown shell like things, the green bits are peas :)

Oh right thanks ;D I just thought feeding all them oats just fattened them up O0

If I have a piggy that has been ill, or needs fattening up, I scatter a hanfuil of oats into their mix, or make them up a bit with water, I would not do this as an ongoing diet :)

I have goats and Piggies,I would never feed the piggies on goat food, the goats on the other hand have been known to get into the bin of piggy food in the past ::)
