Furbabies' Adventures

We are making progress when it comes to taking food out of my hand. Today he took most of the pieces I offered him.
During cuddle time he dared to nibble a little bit on my finger when he wanted to be put back.
I might be on my way to create another little monster but i just love it when a timid piggy learns to express himself.

But it wouldn't be Jamie if he didn't get scared a bit later without obvious reason and race around the cage knocking over the hay cube he was sitting in. 🙈
 
Today was the first time I saw Jamie runing away with a piece of veg, not running away and then wondering what happened to the veg.
No comment about the fact that he had taken away Vicky's piece instead of taking his own piece from me.
It's been quite a while since I had such a typical boar. :cool:
But he is very sweet.
 
Jamie is still very shy and skittish though there is some progress. But he is a handsome boy and I would love a few pigtures of him. I have started to get him being used to sitting still and getting his pigture taken. He is a very good boy but you see how uncomfortable he is with any kind of handling in the pictures.
So I'm on the mission to catch him up and about the cage on sunny days. Which he is ... but the moment he senses that I've got the phone in my hand and want to take his pigture ... he is gone.

I can"t believe it but Bonny is gaining weight.
Nothing has changed except for the group members.

Has she lost weight because she was stressed too much by Kylie?
Was there too much power struggle going on after Billie's death?
Kylie's behaviour has improved a lot since Jamie moved in (but of course she has still got her moments especially during the heavy spring seasons of the girls).

Or has she lost weight because she was affected by the loss of Billie, Odi's bad health and Tessy's declining health?
And now life is good again with the younger boar and no (obvious) health problems in the group.

Or is there a underlying medical condition that caused weight loss at first and now increasing weight?
Since she has been to the specialist vet more than once and he always told me that she was just fine, I'm ruling out this possibilty at the moment (he would call me nuts anyway :cool:).

So at the moment, I'm just happy that she is gaining weight and will see if it lasts.

Both Kylie and Vicky have lost a bit of weight since Jamie moved in. In Kylie's case that's very good and probably due to more activity.
In Vicky's case I'm not that happy. She is also complaining a lot but she always liked to complain a lot. So I hope that it's not a bad sign.
 
Jamie seems very happy in the group. He is still gaining weight. 🙈 This boy really loves his food.
He is still annoying the girls at times but most of the times everything is fine.
Taking food out of my hand works fine at most feeding times. Except for cumcuber. :roll:
He is even brave enough to take pellets out of my hand.

But he is still the master of jump starts and is very wary of me when it's not feeding time.
I miss my completely relaxed boy Odi but I know we will get there in time with Jamie as well.
And Jamie is a real sweetheart. :wub:
