Ringworm doesn't always appear in the characteristic ring you see in humans. It can look much like your other not-so-infectious fungal infections. I'm not saying it's hugely common but unless you have a petri dish and some agar you can't possibly tell which strain of fungal it is.
 
Huh ? so your saying fungal is just like ringworm then ? what is the difference between them ?
 
i completly agree with Lorna, maisys ringworm didnt look like mine, some of it wasnt even in a ring :)
