Fresh forage my piglets had today 🙂

My nice pick today! (Plus a couple of small apple branches to get poorly Cleo moving, she can’t resist attacking one of those! 🦈)

Nomnom
Our ‘usuals’, grass, dandelion leaves and flowers, ribwort plantain, avens, bramble leaves, lots of vetch has sprouted so a good portion of that (def a massive favourite), bindweed and some speedwell :)
Stickyweed and apple leaves (on branches) for a bit later!

I did come across a few patches of creeping buttercup (I think?!), will be staying away from that for the bubs! (Not spotted any ragwort yet which was around last year thankfully)

I think I have Herb Robert growing mad in my garden! I'll take a piccie of it tomorrow and pop it on here to see what you all think. I didn't know piggies could have it.
These are the weeds I can't identify growing in my garden. What are they and are they safe to feed piggies?Weed 1.webpWeed 2.webpWeed 3.webp

I didn't get photos but mine have have had grass, dandelions (whole plant), sticky weed and hairy bittercress today. Sainsbury's are selling edible plants so I'm going to check that out to see if it's piggy safe.

I believe this is red dead nettle, can they just eat the whole thing?
No expert but yes I think so! I just tend to dry it all out and see what looks tasty really, I don’t see a lot of the red dead one around here, tends to be the white.
Haven’t picked any yet this year (I tie it up drying around the flat and it gets in the way 😆), hope the piggles enjoy! My boys love a bit of nettle.
