Fleece vs Bath Mats...?

I’ve done a quick Google and it looks like normal bath mats. In which case it wouldn’t work as you need something to soak up the pee under the fleece. You could use them on top of it but would still need a base layer that’s absorbent.
 
I use fleece liners as our washing machine wouldn't spin the weight of the wet bathmats. I wash everything on 30 and my machine doesn't smell. Only cleaning cloths, towels and bedding get washed on anything higher. But I have a scented laundry cleanser too which helps. And I put the machine on a 90 wash with vinegar in every now and then to clean it. I always leave the door open when not in use.
 
I don't use the cleanser on the piggy stuff as it smells strong. But use it on everything else.
