Finally Some Pics Of Our New Girls.

My initial reason for putting the hay tray up there was to contain the hay upstairs. They aren’t even eating it or going in it though so I will give it a go moving it x
I saw yours and thought about trying mine upstairs but they have always had it in the same place.. nearly 3 yrs so don't want to confuse them... try moving it downstairs and covering that section over - worth a try. I will post a picture of mine tomorrow.. too chilly to get out of bed lol!

Ha ha. It’s freezing isn’t it! That would be great. Hopefully they will start actually eating some hay soon x

Maybe I am. I definitely overfed them veg on the first two days until I read the post where it shows you the portion on a plate.

I must be overfeeding pellets then as there are always quite a lot left. I was eye measuring an eighth of a cup each but will measure properly to make sure and reduce pellets. They won’t touch it in the hay pouches so I have just bundled it all into the hay loft. They tend to bury into the teepee type beds rather than the hay. I’m sure they will change what they do when they are more settled.

I made lovely hay bags for mine and they never went near them apart from wee one who hid in one. Mine just love burrowing into huge piles of hay. Pee and poo in there too plus their snugglesafes are put in there too for them. Very cosy little piggies!

I bury my snuggle tunnels under the hay on the hutch and my Piggies just love
burrowing underneath the hay to get inside them! The Piggies can usually be found in the tunnels in pairs under 2ft of hay! Every time I get the camera out to take a piccie they immediately scarper! It is very cute

So happy this morning. @artcasper your advice worked! Covered the loft and Fluff (the shyest of the two) has made home up there and eaten loads of hay :love:. I’m so happy.

Stripe is still happy down in the bottom part doing her thing and last night fell asleep on my daughter making cute little squeaks until she did.

I can’t believe how much they have taken over my thought process :doh:ha ha.

Thanks for the help guys. Just a few tweaks have made a difference.

Lovely girlies in a lovely cage! I'm needing to get a C & C cage as someone buying a cage for me fell into the '2 x 3 is fine' trap and this is a lovely setup! Can't wait to get my girls in something like this.

It’s so hard to make all the decisions. It has literally been like we have been preparing for the birth of a child ha ha. I’ve made some tweaks on the advice of people on here and I think I am nearly happy. Already thinking oooh where could we extend :xd:xx

Thanks so much for the advice. It feels like since I’ve done that they have become happier overall if that makes sense. They came out and ate their veggies in front of us today. They must feel a bit safer xx
