Fidget’s Ordeal - heatstroke

I'm so sorry. Look after yourself as something like this can really knock you back, especially when you've been so involved nursing them. Spend some time with little Fudge - you will comfort each other. Sleep tight Fidget x
Good luck in going forward and finding him a new friend. If you have any rescues near you (there is a 'recommended rescues list at the top of the page on the green bar) you can phone to see if they do 'boar dating' where they introduce your boy to others and see if they get on. If you need any more advice or support, or just want to post jolly pigtures in the future, we are always here x
Thank you so much for your kind words. It really helps. However, both piggies were adopted from Pets at Home only 1 month ago and I was obliged to let them know what had happened. They asked me to surrender Fudge as they were best placed to partner him up with a new boy. I feel so bad about what happened to Fidget that I actually felt relieved to let go of the responsibility. My confidence about looking after a living creature is pretty low. I hope you understand.

Of course - and they will be well placed to match him from among their own boys. It's possible seeing as it was only 1 month ago that they even have some members of the same group in so he might be able to meet up again with pigs he knows already. P@H can get quite a bad rap sometimes but the variation between stores is significant and when I've overheard staff in our store discussing pigs with each other it's never been as 'commodities' and always with kindness and compassion. Some of my own have come from the P@H 'adoption corner' and they've been very thorough!

You've had a terrible time yourself. You're going to need a bit of breathing space before you make any decisions. Take care x
