We gave him poop soup yesterday made from the girls' poop. He hated it! I could only manage to give him 0.5ml of it coz he was drooling the rest of it! 🤣 So it's just probably his poops he likes then. 😁
 
We're just waiting for a call back from Ellie to discuss Bryce's treatment/medication. But Bryce is a happy little boy. Doing zoomies this morning in the girls' cage, going up and down the ramp, popcorning, before I did the weekly full clean. He's been pooping some too! Some he still eats and some he leaves behind. :D
 
It's worth remembering that poop output is usually 24 - 48 hours behind food intake.
So his poops represent how much he was eating 1 - 2 days earlier - not now.
I have had poorly pigs who clearly haven't been eating much for 24 hours before I notice, and once they get treatment they suddenly seem to get worse and stop pooping, but it's just because this is a reflection of their diminished eating before I noticed.
I hope he continues to improve - he looks like a lovely little chap.
 
Just got a call from Ellie. Told her everything that happened during the weekend. She said looks like it all started because of the antibiotics, and that because of his young age, it might have been the case that he can't tolerate antibiotics yet. So she told us to not give it to him again and that she would want to surgically remove the abscess instead. Since it hasn't grown and is still relatively small, it would be best to remove it asap. She scheduled Bryce's op on Monday at 10:30am.
 
Only just seen this thread. Hope Bryce feels better soon. It's so worrying when they are sick. xx

I remember when I was giving Rupert some of Jess’s poo soup when he was poorly a couple of years ago, he loved it! 🤢 But also liked to shake and move about a lot in between his feeds and I got a taste when he splatted some of it in my face too! 🤢 I didn’t enjoy it quite as much! :))

Update on Bryce.

He had his neck abscess removed this morning. Picked him up at around quarter to 2pm. He was great! They removed the whole capsule of abscess and it wasn't connected to anything, as what Ellie said 2 weeks ago. We got home at around 4:30pm. He looksike he hasn't had an op! He was wheeking a lot wanting to go to the girls' cage, eating, pooping loads, and popcorning. He only had a small wound on his neck. Ellie wanted us to just send her photos of him and his wound after 2-3 days just to make sure it is healing well.

Just caught up with your thread @anyar.dris what a rollercoaster again for you both! Poor Bryce, but at least things look to be on the up now with him being a happy chappie, can't wait to see what happens when he can get in with the girls! Well done Bryce onwards and upwards, he's soooo lovely😘

The little rascal keeps on wheeking every little rustling of paper or plastic bag even though I already gave him loads of grass. 🤦‍♀️ He's been pooping like a champion again since Thursday last week! 🤣 I don't think Bryce realised that he's had an operation coz he's acting like nothing happened. 😳
