EMAILED THE RSPCA THIS WEEK

The RSPCA have responded to me

‘Thank you for your email.

Our colleagues have reviewed your concerns and their response can be seen below:-

I was able to locate the page with dietary advice for guinea pigs you're referring to, and although I believe that broccoli and kale were listed as examples of suitable leafy greens rather than recommended as the top two green vegetables guinea pigs can be fed daily which could of course cause implications for their health I can see that this is not entirely clear in the paragraph so will request for the advice to be changed.

Best wishes

That’s great news I think
I had the same and I replied back that maybe the person would like some assistance from the GP Forum. They replied back they wouldn't be doing many changes. So I copied the diet list from here and said it's vital that the correct information is communicated across the RSPCA and maybe they should look into this further - very politely but honestly they are just doing the minimum to placate me.

The thing is, there isn’t a hard and fast rule that things can only be done one way. I actually feed the piggies at TEAS very differently to the guidance on the forum. However, our guinea pigs are healthy and I’ve never yet had a piggy with bladder issues.
