Edinburgh Vet Recommendation?

Hi All,
I've just moved to Edinburgh and looking for a cavy-savvy vet in the area. I've been considering getting my 2 boys neutered for a long time. One of them is very aggressive towards the other and has recently been bullying my other one very heavily, so I think they would both be happier if they were paired with females instead. The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies gave me a quote of £220 for two piggies! I'm sure they're excellent but that is way more than I can afford. Could anybody recommend an alternative option in or near Edinburgh? I don't have a car so only local vets or those easily accessible by public transport, please. Many thanks.

Is there a Easi-pet near you. I only paid £40 to get my boy done. I have 2 vets in the practice, that have had piggies for ever so they now what they are talking about. If you have that practice near you, just check there is a cavy savy vet there.

I have checked, no listings for Edinburgh. Closest is Dunfermline which I suppose is not too far...

I think I remember someone using Glen at Apex vets in Denny but my Scottish geography isn't great I'm afraid lol

Yes, I've heard good things about Apex Vets. Just a bit far for me unfortunately. Would take me at least 1.5 hours to get there. :/
Also just checked the Dunfermline practice website - the recommended vet, Romain Pizzi, no longer works there so this should probably be updated.

I drive 1 3/4 hours to Northampton every fortnight to get my dental pig's teeth sorted, so I know what you mean Maybe google Romain Pizzi or ring the practice to ask where he works now?

He works at Edinburgh Zoo now! Maybe if I dress up my piggies as tiny pandas, he might accept to see me?

There's an Exotic vets in Falkirk & Cumbernauld, Lawrie vets? They have an exotic vet Krissy Green? No idea what she is like though In fact the whole practice seems to be Exotic vets lol Maybe ring & ask a quote & also the best vet for neutering?

Never go to Vets4Pets in straiton..they almost killed my piggy
