My piggy's right eye has had a weird red lump half under its bottom eyelid which has concerned me for months.
I just came home from the vets and they gave me a tube of Amacin to put on his eye twice a day for the next 5 or so days. I've never had to administer medicine to a guinea pig's eye and the directions on the tube aren't of any help. The medicine is in a paste form.
Has anyone had to apply medicine to their piggy's eye before, and if so can you explain to me how to do it?

It’s easier if you’ve got somebody to help you. One person to hold piggy. The other person gently holds the eyelid open with one hand and drops the medication in with the other.

If you have to do it by yourself (which is something I have had to do many times!), I’ve tried several methods and the easiest I’ve found is to sit on the floor with piggy on my legs. Use my forearms to hold piggy in position. I'm right handed, so as my arms are holding piggy my hands are free. I use my left hand to gently hold the eye open and my right hand to squeeze the drops. Whichever eye it is, then one of my hands is over piggy’s head slightly to reach the eye and is also helping to stop piggy from running forwards
