Does Anyone Have Dreams About Their Pigs?

Last night I dreamed Cali lost half her body weight and stopped eating, but somehow survived, and people from the forum came to help me force feed her! And heres the weird part um... @Wiebke got turned into a squirrel? What is wrong with me?:lol!:

I once had a nightmare that Bella went under the fleece and I went all Alice In Wonderland style, shrank and went in after her. I never got her out and I was exhausted when I woke up! And hung over. Very VERY hungover.

:))

! A squirrel?!

Yes, I used to have nightmares about my old guineas. I dreamt that I suddenly remembered I had them after I had forgotten them for months and I was soooo frightend to go and see them but also frightend not to (somehow I knew they were alive, illogically)
This only started after the last two had died (of old age and not forgotten!)

Also used to dream that I let the first pair free roam (or they escaped from the run, I can't really remember) in our large and mostly wild garden, but they'd always be found under a particular bush when it came to put them away. Used be afraid that would actually happen as I knew I'd never get them back!

the brain processes at night what we have been through during the day. I know I felt guilty that sometimes our old pigs didn't get cleaned out as often as they should have (when it was my brothers 'turn', he often wouldn't do it and I'd have to do it a couple of days late) and this guilt came out in my dreams.

I'm not surprised that your worry about Cali has come up in your dreams - it's your brain trying to process it. The fact that she was ok and that forum members helped you shows that you know that you are supported here. :-)

No idea why Wiebke is a squirrel though!

I may object to the squirrel part, but I do dream of guinea pigs on a regular basis!

Even if it is - thankfully - not every night on the scale of trying to organise an escape from an imminent tsunami with all two dozen piggies, which you cannot just pack into one single carrier... (I might add that we live safely inland!)
Or telling freshly landed aliens not to feed bird seed to guinea pigs...

Our subconscious is a funny thing, isn't it?

The other night I dreamed I was in Australia and there were snakes everywhere and Archie was the size of a small dog and jumped out the car and rushed over to a grumpy adder to see what it was and to get at some grass and the adder hissed and struck at his face but not actually biting him, basically doing what my bird Bikbok does when he wants Archie to go away and I quickly caught Archie and we drove off.
But usually I dream of other guinea pigs, I call them dream pigs because they are not any I have known personally and the dreams are variations of the pigs either coming to live with me, having to look after them or them, and they are usually sick or injured in some way. Sometimes they die or are already dead and I have to dispose of the body (jeeze wtf brain). And they are usually big too, for some reason my brain sizes up guinea pigs to be the size of cuys to the size of a medium dog.
When I am at my fiances house, I dream of Archie nearly every night for weeks, just being at home cuddling him and usual stuff.
But in general I don't dream of guinea pigs that often.

Hehe, some very interesting dreams here... I wonder what a psychologist would say... :))
I have had a few dreams about mine, but again it's usually bad ones...where they escape or worse :/

I had a dream I had cats and guinea pigs the other night. Like I owned both and they constantly played together. It's been years since I've owned cats o.o

I sometimes have nice dreams about my past guinea pigs, or not to nice ones about my current two getting hurt or going missing.

One random occasions I dream about them being really big and them suddenly peering over the back of the sofa at me. Scary! Has anyone seen Eraserhead, when the giant "baby" is dancing at the end of the film? Replace that with a pig and that's my dream sometimes.

Someone once told me that your brain never generates a random human face in a dream, they're always someone you have seen before, even a random person passing in the street. I have no idea if that's true but I find it very interesting.

That I can believe, actually. Our imagination tends to be limited, in general, to what we've seen and heard before. It's hard to imagine something and not relate it to something you already know. You don't necessarily know that you know it, but try imagining a skyscraper without thinking of any buildings or skyscrapers you've seen before. We relate everything to something else.

That's interesting re faces. Usually when I dream people, I don't see their faces at all. Sometimes I will know who they are (the way you do in dreams) but I never see the face. Sometimes people have the 'wrong face' too. I'll knows it's so-and-so but they have a different face!

It's like trying to imagine a new colour that doesn't exist yet. It hurts my brain :))

You have 24 piggies! Holy wheek!

I've waken up screaming many times because my guinea pigs had "gotten loose" and I'd be freaking out about that.
:)):)):))
It usually takes me about five minutes to realise the truth.
