Does anyone else find red eyes scary?

Personally not a fan of red eyes, i don't know why just don't tickle my fancy,

this doesn't mean i'm against red eye'd pigs or i'd 'leave them in a rescue' and in fact i helped rescue and foster 2 red eye'd guinea pigs, i just don't really like them that much, the same way i don't like long haired piggies that much, just not my preference i prefer short hair or abby's.

I don't think anyone should be made to feel bad just because they might not like red eyes thats just a little silly in my honest opinion, and opinion is just what this is, everyones entitled to there own !

red eyes are my favourite! 3 of my 8 pigs have red eyes. I really like them, it may just be coincidence but all the red eyes I've ever met have huge personalities!

I've kind of fallen in love with a red eyed piggie in the pet shop that I go to. She and her friend are 4 months old, so have probably been in the pet shop for 8 or 9 weeks...and I'm sure that they're just being overlooked because one of them is a red eyed white. They're very well looked after, apart from being in with a rabbit, but to be honest, if they're still there in 3 weeks time, when my shed is finished, I'm not going to be able to control myself and they will almost definitely be coming home with me.

Gus was overlooked because of his red eyes, suits me just fine because that means I got to scoop up a dandy of a pig! He is sweet and clever and actually tidy for a piggie. His only downfall is he is a picky fussy eater....but so am I so whoopity doo about it or his eyes. He's handsome to me!

Goodness.

How are red eyes scary?

I grew up with a lot of Albino rabbits (My caretaker's neighbour have loads of them). I've also kept Albino rats and Guineapigs.

Albinos and Blacks are too overrated in "scariness". I don't see the hype of scariness in them.

Three out of my four pigs have red / pink eyes and I have had two red eyed gerbils in the past.

I have nothing against people who aren't keen in red eyes but I think it is sad that animals are over looked because of their eye colour :(

My Eliza was left behind and unwanted due to her eye colour and I am so glad I brought her home. Five years later, she is a happy, friendly piggy.

I used to prefer dark eyes but since having several red-eyed mice I now don't care, I just love them for who they are!

I don't mind which eye colour any animal is. I have a pure black guinea pig to, with one white hair on her forehead and I wouldn't change her just because her fur is black. I have 6 piggies altogether, and 3 of them are black, or have black with caramel coloured splodges on them. I also had a white guinea pig with red eyes when I was younger, I cant remember the reason we picked him but I think it was because no one else wanted him. But he passed away awhile back, R.I.P boy.

i have adopted many rats, a family of gerbils and a lone baby guinea pig due to them having red eyes as no one wanted them
our dad piggie to the babies has red eyes and the babies all have black like the 2 mums but all have a red tinge to their eyes like their dad
it doesnt bother me, but each to their own i guess
